Trellis Courtyard - Royal Wells Park

A modern spin on the traditional Georgian Town House attracted our client to this central location in Tunbridge Wells.
Our challenge was to create a secluded rear terrace that would provide outdoor privacy, an entertaining space, plus an attractive focal point from the adjoining ground floor kitchen and lounge area.

Our design features an enclosed "walled garden" effect. This we designed and achieved incorporating an ingenious new manufacturing technique that uses new world woods "Triccoya' and "Accoya" which behave like hardwoods and can be fashioned into any design and shape. They are weather resistant and we use a special paints and application process that is guaranteed for over 10 years. 

The design has been styled to blend with the house and importantly the downstairs colour scheme, so the courtyard works as a seamless extension of the indoor decor.

There are raised beds fashioned out of London Brick to match the house, sandstone setts and paving in a similar colour palette.

A zinc bench and water feature, plus planting, including clipped Liquid Ambar and Acer palmatum standards complete the effect.
