Outdoor Lounge - Royal Wells

A delightful walled area approximately 6 x 7m greeted us. The client wanted a “ Low maintenance” garden that created a secluded courtyard in which they could extend their ground floor living space. The garden abutted their main kitchen and dining room, so our clients saw this as an outdoor lounge area. Smart new bi-fold doors stretching across the entire width of the house opened onto our new terrace, surrounded by raised beds and cedar panelling. A line of flowering cherry trees helped increase the subliminal boundary with the road and tree ferns along the other faces helped give a more cosy feeling to our room. A Porcelain terrace surface blended in with the dining floor and helped reduce maintenance. Clever lighting and cedar screening of the garden store area helped conceal unwanted views and complete the “Room” effect.
