Entrance Statement - Shipbourne

The owners of a prestigious residence in Shipbourne contacted us and asked if we could design a new entrance piece. This we conceived of in collaboration with our good friends at Chilstone and our construction partners Garden Creations.

The house is built in a soft red facing brick with Yorkstone detailing, the driveway features a weathered brick paving and we noted had an octagonal shape to it. The client was keen on a water feature, so we set about designing a bespoke octagonal pond surround to a Chilstone fountain. Outside this and to help soften the effect of our structure we created an outer perimeter bed with its own brick edging. This has been block planted with Liriope Muscari - with its evergreen grass like structure and Autumn Purple flower heads it will provide year round interest.
