Landscapes built to last

Expert landscaping in Tunbridge Wells – from patios and terracing to water features and full garden build

Designing a beautiful garden is one thing. Building it well – to the standard the design demands, on time and without unpleasant surprises – is something else entirely.

Our landscaping team has spent years working on the kinds of complex, detailed projects that require real experience: terracing on sloping ground, precision stonework, working water features, bespoke timber structures, intricate planting schemes. The craftsmanship shows in the finished result.

We work closely with our designers throughout the construction process, which means the build stays true to the original vision. We also project-manage every trade involved (including groundworkers, electricians, tree surgeons and stonemasons) so you have a single point of contact from start to finish.

Hard landscaping

Hard landscaping forms the structure and bones of a garden. Done well, it gives the space a strong architectural identity and ensures it functions properly for decades to come.

Our team is skilled across the full range of hard landscaping work, including:

  • Terraces, patios and paved areas in stone, porcelain, brick and concrete
  • Retaining walls, garden walls and boundary structures
  • Paths, steps and changes of level
  • Pergolas, garden buildings and timber structures
  • Water features, ponds and swimming features
  • Fencing, trellis and screening
  • Garden lighting and electrical works

Soft Landscaping

Once the structure is in place, planting brings a garden to life. Our soft landscaping work is guided by the design team’s planting plans and carried out with real horticultural knowledge and care. We prep the soil, make sure the correct drainage is in place, and plan and install irrigation, giving every plant the best chance to flourish.

Depending on what’s included in your design, the big plants go in first – trees and major shrubs – followed by any hedges, borders, meadow areas and perennials, alongside turf laying, seeding and lawn preparation where needed.

Project management

We co-ordinate every aspect of the build so you don’t have to. That means managing the programme, sequencing the trades, securing materials and keeping quality consistent from groundworks right through to the final planting. You’ll always know what is happening and what comes next.

Health and safety is embedded into how we work, not treated as an afterthought. All our teams operate to current guidelines, with appropriate supervision and PPE on every site.

faqs

How long does a landscaping project take?

It depends on the scale and complexity of the work. A straightforward courtyard patio and planting project might take two to three weeks on site. A large garden with significant hard landscaping, water features and structures might take three to four months. We agree a programme with you before work begins and keep you updated throughout.

Will you project manage everything?

Yes. We co-ordinate all the trades involved in your project, from groundworkers and stonemasons to electricians and tree surgeons. You have a single point of contact throughout and don’t need to manage multiple contractors yourself.

What if I want changes once the build has started?

We manage change requests as they arise. If you want to adjust something during the build, talk to us as early as possible. We will advise on any implications for cost or programme and agree any changes in writing before proceeding.

Can you work from an existing design?

Yes. If you already have a design from another designer and need someone to build it, our construction team can help. Please share the drawings with us and we’ll advise on feasibility and cost.
